The Connected methodology and lean delivery program ensured WSP’s rigid global cost parameters were adhered to while delivering a 4,000sqm refurbishment over the Christmas period to minimize disruption to staff. Connected's white-glove service guaranteed stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project, which included the refurbishment of a second-floor office space in Auckland. The project encompassed a comprehensive scope covering engineering, design, strategy, project management, risk, delivery, and cost. Connected’s meticulous planning and execution were pivotal in maintaining cost efficiency without compromising on quality or timelines, demonstrating their capability to meet stringent requirements with finesse.
To mitigate disruption, Connected implemented an accelerated lean program, strategically aligning the single-stage installation with the holiday period from December 1, 2023, to January 30, 2024. This approach minimized operational downtime and ensured a smooth transition for the staff returning after the break. An eight-week sprint program was initiated to finalize design, contract, engineering, and programming, allowing for an efficient and cohesive project flow. A detailed design charrette was employed to incorporate top design concepts, focusing on enhancing the workspace to ensure staff retention. This intensive collaborative process brought together diverse perspectives, resulting in innovative solutions that met the client's needs while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
